Don Albright – President

Don has over 25 years executive operations experience in medical, clinical, hospital, FDA medical device compliant manufacturing, labor relations, materials, research and development, quality, customer/partnering relationships, and ISO 9001. Skilled in innovative product development, problem solving, team building, business planning and manufacturing methods (JIT, cellular, ERP/MRP implementation and use).

Don has participated in many manufacturing and medical institutions in both a clinical and research capacity. He has extensive industry experience employing mass production, lean manufacturing, and cellular techniques utilizing many technologies including: miniature machining, tooling, special machine design; electronics and assembly.

Prior to founding Operations Consulting Service, Don’s experience includes Director of Operation Services for Insero, Kasperski, Ciaccia & Co., Vice President, Operations (Getinge/Castle), Vice President, Manufacturing; Sr. Production Manager; Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager; Sr. Material Manager and Sr. R&D Project Manager. Don has held positions in Biomedical Engineering at Rochester, New York area hospitals.

Don obtained his Associates in Applied Science in Biomedical Instrumentation Technology, a Bachelors of Science from the State University at Buffalo in Biomedical Engineering and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a Certified Auditor for ISO 9001, a trainer Lean and Cellular Manufacturing, and a Team Facilitator. Don has also attended the Cambridge University Executive Leadership seminar and Cornell’s Managing the Next Generation of Manufacturing Technology. He has also been awarded five (5) U.S. patents. He has received five Outstanding Achievement Awards in Lean Manufacturing from the Institute of Industrial Engineers. He is a member of the Rochester Professional Consulting Network (RPCN), and American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS),) and on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Industrial Engineers, Chapter 44. Don was the Chairman for the 2002 and 2003 Institute of Industrial Engineer Lean Enterprise Conference.
